  13.                     1991 MacApp Conference Set for Phoenix

  15. Everett, WA--August 28, 1990--The MacApp Developers Association, the national
  16. organization for programmers using Apple’s MacApp application framework, has
  17. announced the site for their second annual MacApp Conference.  The 1991
  18. conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, February 4 - 8, 1991, at the
  19. Holiday Inn Park Central. Official designation for the conference is “Phoenix
  20. ’91 MacApp Conference.” The conference is sponsored by the Association, with
  21. the cooperation of Apple Computer, Inc.

  23. The first annual MacApp conference was held in San Diego last February, and
  24. drew over 140 Macintosh developers, in spite of very short notice.  This year’s
  25. conference is expected to draw 250-300 developers.  The Association has over
  26. 1,300 members worldwide.

  28. The ’91 Conference begins with three days of tutorials and workshops, led by
  29. some of the most knowledgable people in the world of MacApp and general OOP
  30. development.  The last two days of the conference will be devoted to reports,
  31. papers, and demonstrations.  All the key people from Apple’s MacApp Engineering
  32. Team, Marketing and Project Development will be on hand for developers to meet.
  33. Developers will hear the latest, give input to Apple, and help shape the future
  34. direction of MacApp.

  36. Conference Registration includes attendance at daily sessions, breakfast and
  37. lunch each day, and a free copy of the conference proceedings if registered for
  38. all five days.  The Annual Banquet will be held Thursday evening, and is
  39. included in the five-day registration and General Sessions registration.  Price
  40. for five days is $800.  Those who register before November 15th pay only $720.

  44. The MacApp Developers Association (MADA) is an independent nonprofit
  45. organization, endorsed by Apple Computer, dedicated to promoting the use of
  46. object oriented programming on the Macintosh.  The MacApp Developers
  47. Association is a primary source for information on Apple’s latest developments
  48. in object-oriented programming tools, and acts as a clearing house for
  49. programmer-produced MacApp object libraries.  The organization offers
  50. information and help for developers using MacApp, and publishes a bimonthly
  51. technical journal, "FrameWorks."
